
Reed Wills has over 20 years of experience developing, financing and managing power projects. He joined Duke Energy in December 2004 as vice president of project development, leading the nonregulated business development on the East Coast for DEGS.
Before joining the company, Wills served as a management consultant to the natural gas industry. From 2000 to 2002, he managed a portfolio of over 1,000 megawatts as the vice president of NRG North America's Mid-Atlantic region. From 1998 to 2000, Wills served as vice president in charge of project development for United American Energy, a Duke Energy affiliate. He has also held a variety of development, finance and management positions for NRG Energy and its affiliates.
Wills earned a master of science degree in energy management and policy from the University of Pennsylvania and graduated summa cum laude from Temple University, with a bachelor's degree in geography and urban planning. He was also named to the Temple chapter of Phi Beta Kappa.
A native of Pennsylvania, he and his wife have three children and reside in West Chester, Pennsylvania.
